This Cookie Policy explains how Pearlexa Pvt Ltd (Company No. PV 00354432) uses cookies and similar browser technologies on Pearlexa websites, including pearlexa.lk. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.

1. What Cookies and Similar Technologies Are

Cookies are small pieces of information stored by a website or service in connection with your browser. We also use similar browser technologies such as local storage. Some are necessary to provide a requested function, while others may be used for optional analytics or performance measurement.

2. Strictly Necessary Technologies

Strictly necessary technologies are used only when required to provide, secure or remember a function you request. They cannot be disabled through Pearlexa's optional-cookie preference because doing so may prevent cart, account, verification or checkout functions from working.

• Shopping cart: plx_shopify_cart associates your browser with the current Shopify cart. It can remain for up to 14 days unless cleared earlier.
• Customer account/session: secure HTTP-only account authentication cookies are used when you sign in. Short-lived access/session cookies follow the authentication session; refresh/identity cookies may remain for up to 30 days where issued.
• Mobile-number verification: plx_verified_phone records successful checkout mobile verification for up to one hour.
• Security/authentication flow: short-lived state, nonce and return-path cookies may be used while starting a secure customer-account sign-in and normally expire within about 10 minutes.

3. Functional Preferences

Pearlexa may use local browser storage to remember a preference you have actively selected. For example, pearlexa-theme remembers the light/dark appearance selection, and pearlexa-cookie-consent-v1 remembers whether you accepted or rejected optional analytics so we do not repeatedly ask you on every page. These preference records are not used for advertising or behavioural profiling.

4. Optional Analytics and Performance Measurement

Pearlexa may use Vercel Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights to understand aggregate website usage and technical performance. In Pearlexa's website implementation, these optional measurement tools are not loaded until you select Accept optional in the cookie notice.

If you select Reject optional, the store remains usable and strictly necessary functions continue to operate. You can change your preference at any time using the Cookie Preferences control in the website footer.

5. Third-Party Checkout and Services

When you intentionally continue to a third-party service, such as a hosted Shopify checkout or a payment service such as PayHere, that third party may use cookies or similar technologies on its own domain to provide security, authentication, fraud prevention or payment functionality. Those technologies are governed by the relevant provider's privacy/cookie practices in addition to the information Pearlexa provides about the transaction.

6. Your Choice

On your first visit, Pearlexa provides a clear choice to accept or reject optional analytics/performance technologies. Rejecting optional technologies does not prevent you from browsing products, using the cart or placing an order, although disabling strictly necessary technologies through your browser may prevent some requested functions from working.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy when our website technologies, service providers or legal obligations change. The current version will be published here with its effective date. If a change materially affects an optional choice already made, Pearlexa may ask you to make that choice again.
